Meet and greet at the airport after passport control and customs. Panoramic sightseeing of Belgrade by bus. Belgrade is the capital of Serbia, located at the confluence of Sava and Danube rivers, with 2000 years long history. During the tour you will see the largest Orthodox Church in the Balkans – St. Sava Temple, National Assembly, City Hall, Republic Square, Knez Mihailova pedestrian street and magnificent Belgrade Fortress. Optional lunch in the city center. Transfer to hotel and check in. Overnight in Belgrade.
Breakfast. Departure to Vojvodina region. Our first stop is Sremski Karlovci, small historical town known for its baroque architecture and wine production. Most important building in Sremski Karlovci, The Chapel of Peace, commemorates the signing of the Treaty of Karlowitz, that brought peace between the Turks and the Austrians. Wine cellar visit with wine tasting included. The tour will continue toward the city of Novi Sad and Petrovaradin fortress, the second largest fortress in Europe. Lunch in local restaurant. Panoramic and walking tour of Novi Sad (Freedom Square, National Theater, Danube Street, etc.) Return to Belgrade in the afternoon hours. Overnight in Belgrade.
Breakfast. Departure to Avala mountain and visit of the famous Avala Tower – 204 m tall, originally finished in 1965., destroyed in 1999. during the NATO bombing of Serbia, and again rebuilt and opened in 2006. Tour continues to the Museum and monumental tomb of the founder of Socialistic Federative Republic of Yugoslavia – Marshal Tito. He was elected president of Yugoslavia after the Second World War and stayed on that function till his death in 1980. After the museum, the tour continues to the new part of the city known as New Belgrade. Lunch in local restaurant. Walking tour of Zemun (Austro-Hungarian era mansions, bazaars, Pub street, old Theatre and Zemun park.) Return to hotel. Overnight in Belgrade.
Breakfast. Check out and drive to Manasija Monastery, founded in the 15th century by Serbian Despot Stefan Lazarevic. It is considered one of the most important cultural heritages of Serbia during the Middle Ages. Visit of beautiful Lisine waterfall. Lunch at the traditional restaurant. After lunch, we will pass through beautiful valleys and picturesque landscapes, reaching the ancient Resavska cave, Serbia’s largest cave system, with total length of about 4.5 kilometers. Tour ends in Nis, Serbia’s third biggest city. Dinner and overnight in Nis.
Breakfast. Panoramic and walking tour of all major attractions in Nis, economic and cultural center of southeast Serbia. It was hometown of Roman Emperor, Constantine the Great. During the tour, we will visit Nis Fortress, Scull Tower and Mediana Archeological site. Lunch in the city center. Free time to visit the busy downtown, enjoy shopping or to sit in a local cafe to enjoy a cup of Turkish coffee. Dinner in traditional restaurant. Overnight in Nis.
Breakfast. Drive to the very heart of Serbia, well known as Sumadija, with beautiful hilly landscapes. Learn about ‘‘rebellious Serbia” and it’s path of establishing modern state while visiting Oplenac, The Mausoleum of The Serbian Royal Dynasty of Karadjordjevic. Besides King’s Peter House, we will visit one of the most beautiful churches – museums in Serbia, Church of St. George. This church is the mausoleum of the Serbian and Yugoslav Royal family Karadjordjevic, decorated entirely with spectacular mosaics and replicas of most beautiful frescoes of the medieval Serbian art. Visit of Royal wine cellar with wine tasting. Lunch in local restaurant, short break and drive to Belgrade. Arrival in the afternoon, check in and free time. Overnight in Belgrade.
Breakfast. Tour guide is at your disposal and will lead you to the major shopping locations in Belgrade. You wilt have enough time to buy local products and souvenir gifts, such as honey-related products, wine, rugs, exquisite ceramic tableware, home-made food, etc. In order to facilitate more convenient, faster shopping and more efficient bargain for everyone, guide will assist you with translation. Free time. Farewell dinner in Skadarlija street, and old part of the city known as bohemian quarter, famous for delicious food, fun, live music and atmosphere.
