Itinerary

Day 1Day 01: Arrival

  • Arrival to Red Bridge and pick up from the border.
  • Transfer to the hotel in Tbilisi.
  • Standard check in time.
  • Free time till evening.
  • In the evening transfer for dinner in Indian Restaurant.
  • 1st overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 2Day 02: Tbilisi City Tour

  • After breakfast our driver guide will pick you up from the hotel.
  • Today you will have a city tour in the capital of Georgia – Tbilisi which is considered as one of the most ancient cities in the Caucasus. During Tbilisi City Tour you will take Cable car/ropeway to Narikala Fortress to enjoy breathtaking panoramic view of the city. Walk down to the district of Sulphur bath houses passing by the only mosque in Tbilisi. You will stroll through the Shardeni area – full of narrow streets with cozy cafés, wine tasting bars, souvenir shops, and breathe in the living past. You are able to visit Anchiskhati Basilica and the Clock Tower of famous Rezo Gabriadze Theatre.
  • In the evening transfer for dinner in Indian Restaurant.
  • 2nd overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 3Day 03: Ananuri - Gudauri - Kazbegi Tour

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Our driver will pick you up at your hotel in Tbilisi. The route will take over the Georgian Military Highway up North towards the border with Russia.
  • Your first stop will be at Ananuri Fortress which is a sixteenth century castle complex on the Aragvi River. The fortress stands beside the famous Georgian Military Highway, overlooking a large Jinvali lake. Its high, turreted stone walls protect two churches, a watch tower and a reservoir. The main church facade is beautifully carved with animal, floral and Celtic style patterns.
  • Next Stop is Gudauri – young and rapid developing winter sports resort located at Kazbegi region of Georgia, 120 km from Tbilisi, at the height of 2,196 m (about 7,200 feet) near the Cross Pass. Skiing season lasts from December to April.  In summer Gudauri is calm. Green environment, cool weather and clean air make a positive impact on the general health condition of people.
  • After that drive to Gergeti Trinity Church – At an altitude of 7119 feet (2,170 meters), the twelfth or thirteenth century monument was erected on the southern slopes of Mkinvarcveri. Gergeti Trinity Church is an important temple, remarkable for its beautiful scenery. The Gergeti Trinity Church is set poignantly on a hill directly below the towering white massif of Mount Kazbek, which sits at 5,033 meters. Built six hundred years ago, its stones have weathered repeated blizzards, rain and invasion to stand as a proud symbol of Georgian resilience in the face of adversity. It is the photographer’s perfect shot. (Please also note that From Kazbegi leisurely 1.5 hour walk up through beautiful walleyes leads us to Gergeti, Option drive is by 4X4 cars for additional cost).
  • Drive back to Tbilisi and Transfer for Indian Dinner.
  • Drop-off at your hotel for 3rd overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 4Day 04: Tbilisi - Prometheus Cave - Batumi

  • Breakfast at the hotel and Check out.
  • Drive towards toPrometheus cave which is 20 km away from Kutaisi in the West of the country.  It is a unique experience to feel the underworld atmosphere in all its glory and colors. You may choose between walking tours along the 1600 meters route, and the boat ride along the underground river. Kumistavi owes a famous Caucasian myth about Amirani for the sonorous naming of the “Cave of Prometheus”. The legend says that Amirani, like Prometheus, angered the gods and was punished. Days and nights eagle tormented him eating his liver; however, in contrast to the Greek giant, cruel gods chained Amirani not to the rock, but somewhere inside a huge cave. Presumably, it is in Kumistavi.
  • Transfer for dinner and 4th overnight.

Day 5Day 05: Batumi City Tour

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Batumi City tour.
  • Old Batumi – the old part of the city is especially interesting, most of the houses were built in XIX century. The Old City is known for the variety architectural subtleties: buildings are decorated with chimeras, mermaids, atlantes and other mythical creatures.
  • Boulevard – the oldest attraction in Batumi, construction of the boulevard began in 1881.  Nowadays, Batumi Boulevard has reached a length of around 7km and is approximately divided into ‘New’ and ‘Old’ boulevards.
  • Piazza – The Square covers about 5700 square metres and is surrounded by the Piazza complex, which includes a hotel, a couple of restaurants, a café and a pub. The architecture is distinguished by mosaics and stained glass art.
  • Alphabetic Tower – A double-helix tower with a Big Ball on top. In the Big Ball there is a restaurant and an observation deck. It’s called the Alphabetic Tower because it has Georgian letters running up the outside.
  • Ali and Nino – The statue is named after the romance book Ali and Nino, which tells the story of a Muslim Azerbaijani boy falling for a Christian Georgian girl, around the end of the first world war.
  • Dinner and 5th overnight in Batumi.

Day 06: Makhuntseti Waterfall - Gonio Fortress

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Today you will have an opportunity to see Gonio Fortress – The oldest fortress of Georgia – the Gonio Fortress (or the Gonio-Apsaros Fortress) occupying the territory of 4,5 ha is situated in village of Gonio in Adjara, it is the oldest fortress in Georgia. The name derives from one of the characters of the myth of the Argonauts (Apsaros = brother of Medea). The earliest archeological layers date back to the 8th and 7th century BC. A cemetery of the 5th century BC, south of the castle, was established by the Colchic kingdom (one of the Georgian kingdoms).. In the mid 6th century, Gonio became a byzantine stronghold, in the 12th century a part of the Georgian kingdom. In the 16th century, an ottoman garrison was stationed in Gonio. After the Russian-Turkish war of 1877-78 Gonio became Georgian again. The total length of the fortress walls is 900 meters. There is a museum within the grounds of the fortress.
  • Next stop is Makhuntseti waterfall – Which is remote from Batumi to 30 km. This is one of the highest waterfalls in Ajara – a real pride of local residents. The water falls from the height of 20 meters, breaking on the rocks and dividing into a plurality of splashes. In summer those who wish can swim in the waterfall bowl.
  • Dinner and 6th overnight.

Day 07: Batumi - Tbilisi

  • Breakfast at the hotel & Check out &Drive towards to Tbilisi.
  • On the way visit Mtskheta which is one of the oldest towns and the cultural and religious centre of Georgia. Mtskheta was the capital of the Eastern Georgian Kingdom of Iberia from the third century BC. Visit Jvari Church, a true architectural masterpiece of the early Medieval Period overlooking the confluence of Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers from the top of the hill, and Svetitskhoveli, the main cathedral of Mtskheta and a sacred place where the robe of Christ is being kept.
  • Dinner in Tbilisi and 7th overnight.

Day 08: Departure

  • Breakfast at the hotel and Check out.
  • Transfer directly to Tbilisi International Airport.
  • Departure.
