On arrival in Prague, driver will pick you up and drop you off at hotel. Check in at hotel. Today hop on in the mini bus with your 48 hours hop on hop off bus pas to explore the city. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast, today explore the rest of the city again with hop on hop off bus. Discover Prague on a mini bus! After breakfast, On this tour you will be passing by the Parliament building before crossing the Danube on the Margaret Bridge and drive to the Royal Castle on the Buda side of the city. Here you will have some free time to yourself to visit the Fishermen’s Bastion which offers stunning views over the city and the Mathias Church. Your tour will continue to the Gillert Hill before crossing the Elisabeth Bridge from where you will drive towards the Heroes’ Square. After breakfast, this city tour will introduce you to the most important sights of the Austrian capital. As we drive around the famous ‘Ringstrasse’, Vienna’s main boulevard, we pass by the State Opera, the Museums of Fine Art and Natural History, the Parliament building, the Burgtheater (National Theatre), the City Hall and the University. The highlight of this programme is the visit to Schonbrunn Palace where we take a tour of some of the most magnificently decorated rooms. We return to the city centre, passing by Belvedere Palace, where you will have the opportunity to end your tour, or you can choose to continue to the State Opera House, where the tour ends. After breakfast, spend a half-day with history and culture in Austria’s scenic Salzkammergut Lake District. Travelling directly from Salzburg to Hallstatt, our route will take us past Gosau, Russbach and Abtenau. As we pass by Gosau, enjoy great views of Dachstein. Due to the extraordinary beauty of Hallstatt s landscape, it was declared a World Heritage Site in 1997 by UNESCO. Let the unique charm of this historic town bewitch you. Take this opportunity to visit the famous Beinhaus (Charnel House) with its painted skulls. After a sufficient amount of time in Hallstatt, we will continue to Bad Ischl which still holds remnants of the time when it was used as a summer home by Emperor Franz Josef s imperial court. Bad Ischl was also the home of Franz Lehar and his home is now a museum to his life. Spend a relaxing moment or two walking around the town centre, passing the Spa Centre, Lehar Theatre, local museum or perhaps enjoying one of the famous coffee houses, for example Cafe Zauner.
